Having parents who immigrated to Canada and several loved ones who live abroad in their respective, developing countries, I was exposed to and understood the role culture and socioeconomic status can play in masking mental disorders, as well as hindering diagnosis and treatment at a young age. Growing up with this exposure, I developed a strong yearning for and a sense of responsibility to do what I can to help people and enhance justice, equality and mental wellness.

This led me to pursuing a Bachelor of Social Worker with Honours from York University and a Master in Social Work specializing in Mental Health and Health from The University of Toronto, also achieving honorary status.

I have had the pleasure of holding positions in various adherent DBT clinics, inpatient and outpatient programs in hospitals across the GTA, experience working in emergency departments, non-profit program coordination and in Canada's largest men's shelter. I have over 5 years of experience as a DBT Therapist who has assisted individuals work through a wide range of mental health challenges, specializing in issues related to trauma, emotion dysregulation and consequent problem behaviours including suicidality and self-harm.
