My name is Stephanie Mastracci (she/her), and I’m a Registered Social Worker and the Founder of MindMatters Psychotherapy. With extensive training and experience in supporting people to make positive changes in their lives, I strive to create a genuine, non-judgmental and collaborative atmosphere. Together, we can be curious about how your history has influenced you and how you can begin to break emotional, cognitive, social and behavioural habits that are no longer serving your wellbeing. 


Through a three-part approach of creating awareness/understanding, providing education about the latest mental health modalities to help inform our treatment plan and practicing concrete skills, you can begin to build deeper connections with yourself and others, while also improving your emotional and psychological well-being.

Individual Therapy

Life can be difficult and overwhelming. As humans, we’re often running on autopilot and don’t recognize how unhappy we are until it starts affecting our mood, relationships and overall health. If you’re feeling stuck, lost or overwhelmed, you’re not alone. Individual therapy can help you develop a deeper understanding of who you are and provide you with the skills and strategies to create a happier and more hopeful you.

Trauma Therapy

Are you reliving your trauma through flashbacks and nightmares? Is controlling intense emotions difficult for you? Trauma can keep you stuck in the past, preventing you from moving forward towards your goals. Therapy can help you accept the past, regulate your emotions, and finally, let go of the negative experience.

Relationship Counselling

Our relationships are central to who we are and how we live our lives. But what happens when we feel disconnected from those around us? It can be painful and difficult to process those challenges alone, but relationship counselling can help. Many people who seek counselling are struggling in a current romantic or family relationship. Relationship counselling can help you process your pain and re-establish connections.

DBT Skills Group 

The therapy group is designed to teach adults skills to help manage life stressors and reduce difficult behaviours, thoughts and emotions. You will learn four sets of skills: Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation and Interpersonal Effectiveness over the course of 24-weeks. The group takes place weekly on Tuesdays from 6:30p.m.-8:30p.m.

Wellness Workshops

Facilitating social-emotional learning programs, interactive workshops, and curriculum that are available to businesses and community organizations. Services are designed to teach the audience social-emotional skills and improve overall mental health and performance.
